Football United has been monitoring the latest fixture news in the UK so let’s take a look at what is being said in the latest blog posts by the fans. (You will also see on the homepage that there is a feed of all the mentions of the fixture list from across Football United)
Most football fans across the UK were hoping for a nice settling opener for their teams to get the cobwebs out of the pre-season preparations. There has been plenty of anticipation ahead of the 2009/20010 fixtures being released earlier this week. Well almost, have a look at the Norwich City take on the new fixtures at Let’s be ‘Avin You.
The newly promoted teams in the Premiership would have liked easier opponents on their opening day of the season, just ask Birmingham City fans as they travel to Old Trafford to take on the Champions. Wolves on the other hand will welcome their first fixture of the season – a home game against West Ham with Burnley, the last of the newly promoted Premier League teams, travelling to Stoke City which is set to be a cracker – check out the latest post from our Stoke blog, Rip Roaring Potter’ titled Burnley up first at the Brit.
The top teams in the Premier League have some interesting yet mouth-watering openers. A change in top-four status might be at stake in the first Goodison Park game of the new season. Everton entertain Arsenal for an early top-four battle whilst Spurs will try to topple Liverpool, the Premier League runners-up last season.
Keep an eye out for the latest post about the new fixtures here. It is certain to open much debate across the blog posts as we edge closer to the opening fixtures of the season.
Each week here at Football United we’ll be bringing you a series of posts outlining the best of what’s going on across our network; discussing the latest fixture, transfer and managerial news. Our bloggers are the best around, and we believe it’s worth hearing what they’ve got to say!
